Rene was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in a tiny town called Dorset, Ohio. She has three brothers, so she was quite the tomboy as a child. she didn't have much choice having all brothers. Rene grew up in the church, even attended the church's Christian School.

Rene has always loved kids. She started working in children's church when she was twelve.  She’s done all the kid’s church things you can think of: she’s been a puppeteer, a mime, a skit actress, even a clown (Bubbles was her name).  Rene attended World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Ohio and received a diploma in Bible Studies.  It was quite an experience. she learned a lot about God and even more about herself as a person.
